ABOUT ME, MYSELF, AND MAI

Chef Mai has been cooking since high school when she started helping with her mother’s taco truck in Austin. In her early 20s she moved to Atlanta where she attended culinary school while working under experienced Chefs at local Moroccan and French bistros. Ready for a change, Mai and her then boyfriend, now husband, moved to Seattle in 1998 to experience something new.

After working at local restaurants and catering companies for 5 years, Mai and her husband moved to Germany, which allowed her to experience first-hand the variety of European continental food. Upon returning to Seattle, she was the Executive Sous Chef at the Bellevue Club for several years before starting her own catering and craft services business. Although she’s always behind the scenes, you may have seen Mai’s food on camera in various films, TV shows, and commercials like Top Chef Seattle, The Man in the High Castle, and Captain Fantastic.

Mai was trained in classical cuisine, but prefers making comfort food from a variety of global cultures using simple and fresh ingredients. She looks forward to creating a unique culinary experience just for you.
